Vitamin D that is!!
Have you ever tested your Vitamin D levels? It’s an easy blood test you can request from your Doctor. Usually, it is not included in routine blood testing, so I recommend requesting it. 50% of Americans are Vitamin D deficient and with that come multiple symptoms. Some of the symptoms include the following;
Brittle bones
Getting sick more often
Fatigue
Depression
Wounds heal slower
Muscle and joint pain
And there is a link between low vitamin D and belly fat
The benefits of having a sufficient amount of Vitamin D is the following;
Maintaining bone health and teeth
It can protect against diseases, including; cancer, diabetes and MS
Lowers insulin resistance
Increases serotonin levels (helps with mood and healthy sleep)
Boosts immune system
Better blood flow
It is recommended to combine Vitamin D3 with K2 (which is sold as one supplement) this together promotes good heart health.
It is true that the sun and some foods provide Vitamin D but usually not enough. So if you have tried everything and you are still feeling sluggish and not quite yourself it’s worth checking your Vitamin D levels…..It could make a world of difference!
